LARGE MARVIN,
the band, was originally formed in 2001 and made its debut
appearance at the Croatian Club in Riverside area of Buffalo, NY.
Founding Member Gene Fahey brought in Joe O'Donnell to anchor the
core sound of the band. The band has gone through a few
transformations since the beginning and rejuvenated itself to hit
the local music scene hard in 2009. The current lineup features a
powerful array of seasoned Buffalo musicians. The band is still
headed by singer/songwriter Joe O’Donnell on Vocals, Guitar & Harp.
The supporting cast features: Annette Falasa, Vocals & Harmonies
[current member of Rare Blend and formerly of Freefall]; Todd Fierstein, Lead Guitar [former member of The Psychodelix, McCarthyizm, Ovation & Tom Stahl And The Dangerfields
just to name a few]; Jim Meyer, Bass Guitar; Jim Turcott, Keyboards
[former member of The Psychodelix, Gypsy Switch, No Matter What &
Fast Eddy to name a few] & Gary Kowalski, Drums & Percussion [current
member of Tom Stahl And The Dangerfields and formerly of The Fans,
Teardrop & Naughty Dawg to name a few]. When available,
legendary saxophone player Terrance Bruce joins the band on stage.
Terrance is a very well known innovative contemporary jazz
performer. He became popular in the 1980's with the famous jazz
fusion group Cabo Frio (MCA Records). He is currently with playing
with Tom Schuman and Chet Catallo [current & former members of Spyro
Gyra].
LARGE MARVIN
continues to play numerous nightclubs, bars, festivals, fundraisers
and private parties in the Buffalo, NY area and always prides itself on
being available to support a worthy cause. The band features classic
rock favorites peppered with a few original tunes.
